Juan Granados Visiting Artist will be demonstrating and lecturing at Old Dominion University Ceramic Program Thursday Jan 21st  from 11-2 and 3-5:00 and Friday  Jan 22nd.

Juan is an Artist and Associate Professor of Art at Texas Tech University.  Juan will be jurying and presenting the winning artists in the Magic Dirt National Juried exhibition at the Baron aand Ellin Gordon Art Galleries. Friday Janruary 21st.

Brad Schwieger Ceramics Workshop
Visiting Artist Brad Schwieger will be at Old Dominion University Campus Wednesday January 21th and Thursday January 22st. Schwieger will be demonstrating  large thrown and sculptural methods with clay.

Brad Schwieger has been teaching at Ohio University since 1990 and is presently a Professor of Art and Ceramics Area Chairman. Prior to that he was an Associate Professor at Vincennes University in Indiana (1985-1990). Brad received his Master of Fine Arts degree from Utah State University in 1983 and his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Iowa in 1981. Brad has shown his ceramics nationally and internationally. Since 2000 his work has been included in more than 100 exhibitions through out the U.S.A., Japan, Korea, Taiwan, England, Germany, Czech Republic and Spain.

Visiting Artist Erin Furimsky Spring 2008

ErIn Furimsky is currently a practicing studio ceramic artist in Normal, Illinois.  She teaches at Illinois State University. Originally from Pennsylvania, she received a BFA from Penn State University and a MFA from The Ohio State University.  Erin had the honor of being an Artist In Residence at the Oregon College of Art and Craft and The Archie Bray Foundation. Her work has been published in numerous books focusing on glaze and surfaces.   She has participated in many noted national group shows, including the NCECA National.  The NCECA organization also included her in the exhibition held at the Taipei County Yingge Ceramics Museum in Taiwan and has recognized her as being a 2006 Emerging Artist. Erin recently had the privilege of being in SOFA Chicago represented by the Dubhe Carreño Gallery.
